Empowering Lives

Right 2 Smile Partners with iHelp Africa

At Right 2 Smile, our mission has always been to bring smiles to the faces of those in need, especially children, young people, and their communities in vulnerable situations. This year, we are happy to announce a new partnership that aligns with our vision of collaborating with International Partners to work together on community development. We are joining hands with iHelp Africa, a remarkable Ghanaian voluntary, non-governmental, and non-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities and support systems for the underprivileged in Kpandi, Volta Region Ghana. Together, we are embarking on a journey to uplift lives and create lasting change.

Our Shared Vision and Mission

The core values that drive both Right 2 Smile and iHelp Africa are deeply rooted in compassion, commitment, integrity, and a relentless pursuit to leave a lasting impact in the communities we work with. We believe in the power of collaboration and networking to effect positive change. iHelp Africa shares our mission of working for the vulnerable in society, including children, youth, and families, by providing them with the tools and support they need to thrive.

Empowering Through Healthcare

One of the primary initiatives we will be focusing on is healthcare. In Ghana, the doctor-patient ratio falls far short of global recommendations, leaving many needing access to essential medical services. iHelp Africa’s “Volunteer in Healthcare Project” is designed to address this gap by deploying healthcare professionals to rural communities where their services are needed. Our team of five medical volunteers will be traveling to Ghana in November to kickstart this vital partnership.

These volunteers will work alongside local medical staff, offering not just their expertise but also their passion for making a difference. They will engage in various activities, from providing vaccines and medical care to organizing community health education and outreach programs.

Through their efforts, we hope to improve access to quality healthcare, particularly in underserved areas.

Addressing Adolescent Challenges

Adolescent substance abuse and reproductive health are two critical issues plaguing Ghana’s youth. iHelp Africa recognizes the urgency of these problems and is committed to providing education, skills development, counseling, and rehabilitation for young individuals facing these challenges. Our volunteers will play a crucial role in these initiatives, offering support and guidance to those in need.

A Focus on Maternal Health

Maternal health is another area where our partnership will make a difference. While Ghana has made progress in reducing maternal mortality, there is still much work to be done. Our joint efforts will involve community outreach programs to educate women in rural areas about maternal health and the importance of seeking early medical attention.

Expected Outcomes

Our collaboration with iHelp Africa is driven by the belief that together, we can achieve more. We anticipate that the activities of our healthcare volunteers will not only enhance the quality of healthcare in these communities but also empower the volunteers themselves. They will gain valuable experiences, knowledge, and skills that will not only benefit the communities they serve but also enrich their own lives as healthcare professionals.

We are excited about this partnership and the potential it holds to make a lasting impact on the lives of those in rural Ghana. The journey begins in November when our dedicated team of medical volunteers, will also be joined by 2 other volunteers who will be working with Ihelp Africa to develop future projects addressing mental health and substance abuse challenges. We invite all our subscribers to follow along with us as we share updates, stories, and the progress we make together with iHelp Africa.

Stay tuned for more updates and stories from our partnership with iHelp Africa.

Your support and encouragement make it all possible. Thank you for being a part of the Right 2 Smile family!
