Right to Smile Foundation is seeking to identify a person to be engaged as a Youth & Community Worker for the St Lucija Youth Group managed by the Foundation.
The organisation would like to recruit a Youth & Community Worker, to be part of the Youth Group team in St Lucija.
The responsibilities include:
=> Plan Volunteer Meetings & Youth Activities – This includes activity calendar, youth program, training & meetings;
=> Project Management – Manage the youth group and facilitate the volunteering experience for the mentors involved;
=> Outreach – Keeping communication with local services which include Local Council, Schools & Community Institutions/Organisations;
=> Legal – To make sure the Youth Group works within the legal requirements for Children and Youth in Malta;
=> Reporting – Keeps update of reporting requirements;
=> Parents/Guardians – To develop a communication and awareness strategy with parents and members of the community.
The chosen candidate:
=> Will have a contract of 1 year. Before the end of the contract period, both parties will discuss whether this agreement will be renewed or not;
=> Will be expected to work an approximate of 10 hours per week;
=> The candidate must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
The chosen candidate is required to have either a Degree or a Diploma in Youth & Community Studies.
Hourly Rate: €12.50 for the Youth Worker holding a Diploma in Youth and Community Studies. In case the Youth Worker holds a degree or higher qualification in Youth and Community Studies, the Hourly Rate is €15.

=> A description of the expertise of the applicant and why the person is a suitable candidate to provide the service.
A Police Conduct will be requested if the applicant is selected.
