Youth Group Corner – Valletta (April to June 2023)
June 22, 2023
Expression of Interest for the recruitment of a Youth & Community Worker (contract for service) on a casual basis
August 6, 2023

Right to Smile Foundation (R2S) is seeking to identify a person to be engaged as an Activity Coordinator, to be part of the Right to Smile Youth Group team and to engage with the community.

The Activity Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, organising, and executing of various activities and events for the Right 2 Smile volunteers and youth. Right 2 Smile is a community service initiative aimed at engaging volunteers and encouraging them to participate in meaningful projects with youth in their community. The role of an Activity Coordinator is vital in ensuring the success of these initiatives and creating a positive impact on the community and strengthening the team of volunteers.

The responsibilities include:

=> Plan Volunteer & Youth Activities – Together with the Youth Group coordinators, the activity coordinator is responsible for identifying and selecting suitable activities that align with the goals and objectives of the R2S Youth & Volunteer program. This involves researching community needs, coordinating with local organisations, and understanding the resources and limitations available;

=> Organisation – Once the activities are identified, the Coordinator is responsible for organising the logistics and resources required for successful implementation. This includes scheduling the events, securing venues or locations, coordinating with volunteers and project coordinators, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available;

=> Execution and Supervision – During the activities, the Coordinator oversees the execution, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and according to plan. They provide guidance and support to volunteers, address any challenges or issues that may arise, and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants;

=> Evaluation and Reporting – After each activity, the Coordinator assesses its effectiveness and impact. They collect feedback from participants and volunteers, analyse the outcomes, and report the results to program managers or relevant stakeholders. This evaluation helps in improving future activities and measuring the overall success of the R2S program;

=> The Activity Coordinator for R2S is responsible for the end-to-end management of community service activities, ensuring that they are well-planned, organised, and executed to create a positive impact on the community and inspire volunteers to make a difference in the lives of others.

The chosen candidate:

=> Will have a contract until December 2025;

=> Will be expected to work an approximate of 4 to 8 hours per week;

=> The candidate must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.

The chosen candidate preferably has previous experience in this kind of work.
